it is quiet now
they came in the dark
their voices shrieking like birds
their animals pounding the ground like thunder
their smell infiltrating every last nostril
swiftly in
swiftly out
darkness, temptation, depression, oppression,
nimble, and weak, humble, and tired,
they came from the darkness,
and took what was left
hurry now comarado,
the time is nigh
take nothing with you
there is no more time
leave all,
and grasp the fullness of the time
there can be no light where we are
we need to make haste
if we linger much longer,
all hope will be lost
if we wait for the dawn,
we shall have slaughtered ourselves
but nay, there is yet hope for us
if we fight with all that becomes,
and if we battle with such vigor,
then revolution.
then revolution.
take back what has been taken,
and show them no mercy
for they have shown none
yet show them justice,
for just is what we are.
we are vicious, but just.
we are truculent, but equitable.
take all.
win all.
they came in the darkness.
we waited. waited. waited.
and took them in their element.
where are they now?
no one knows exactly
for darkness sees all,
and darkness covers all.
they came.
but never left.
we fought.
and live.
they struggled.
we succeeded.
they came.
they lost.
